Kahuna was the Hawaiian title for a priest, expert, teacher, and/or adviser. Among the legendary magical powers of the kahuna nui was the “Huna death prayer.” Usually, it’s mentioned in passing while saying that the secret was lost. Not true. This is how the Huna death prayer was done:

The Kahunas believed that man had two spirits, the lower or subconscious one being illogical and subject ot the influence of hypnotic suggestion. To become able to use the death prayer, a Kahuna had to inherit from another Kahuna one or more (usually about three) unihipili or subconscious spirits though he could, if sufficiently psychic, locate subconscious spirits himself and use hypnotic suggestion to capture and enslave them. (How he might have done that will be discussed in a future post.)

Financial aid is a complicated process that requires many steps. This month-by-month calendar should provide you with enough information to easily navigate through the student loan application process.

January Beginning on January 1, file your FAFSA online. By filing online, your FAFSA will be processed much faster than paper FAFSA applications. Many scholarships also begin accepting applications in January, so start surfing!

February Be on the lookout for a “Student Aid Report” (SAR). This report is a confirmation of the data you submitted on the FAFSA. If you need to make changes, follow the instructions or contact the school’s financial aid office. You can also call 1-800-4-FED-AID for assistance.

Students at the OSHVS can major in English, Russian, Political Science (with specializations in European integration and international political relations), or administration and marketing (with specializations in cultural administration and education or public administration).
The students learn how the whole institution functions. Each department organizes special meetings for them, where they learn about things like the preservation workshop, Museum publications, the archives, art works made in the camp during the war, and exhibitions at the site. They can also tour the Memorial, conducted in a language of their choice by a Museum guide.
Freshmen at the Oswiecim State Higher Vocational School are doing three-week internships at the Museum.
